Iron Man Bling, Bring It On.......

Not quite what it seems though, I’ve been asked and I’m really excited about it, to look into making an IRONMAN Pendant. 

I have made one already about a year ago for a friend, Sophie whom I got to know when we regularly met at an Astrology course run by the lovely Ana Isabel, if your interested in this then here’s her website link http://www.lifeastrologer.com/home.html  I thoroughly enjoyed it although I did have to give it up in the end as I was temping at the time so finances dictated that I stopped. I do miss it still.

Anyway I digress, back to the IRONMAN Race memento. If your not familiar with the race (I’ll admit I was not really aware of it until I talked to Sophie about it) it consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run. So to complete this is quite a feet and a memento of this achievement is well deserved, if I knew someone who was putting in all the training in order to take part and complete this race I would also love to mark the memorable occasion with a keepsake.

So, Sophie’s fiancé Jose took part in this race and I was just starting to talk and tell people about the jewellery I made especially when asked about the pieces that I wore myself.  Which led to Rebecca asking if I could make an Iron Man Race pendant as a gift from her.

M-Dot is the symbol that refers to the event. The symbol is an M with a dot on top of it, which is meant to look like a person. It represents the need to have a fit body and strong willpower.

Now, I’m off to draw out the dimensions requested and to kick the project off. I’ll post some update pictures as and when if your interested.

Decided to post this once I'd started the project so here's a picture of the pendant so far....next to solder the closed jump ring on in order for the chain to be fitted.
